Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ScriptKit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ScriptKit provides AI-powered screenplay analysis, coverage reports, production breakdowns, and budget estimates. The Service is provided "as is" and results are generated by artificial intelligence models that may contain errors or inaccuracies.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Intellectual Property & Your Content

You retain all rights, title, and interest in the screenplays and content you upload ("Your Content"). ScriptKit claims no ownership of Your Content. You grant ScriptKit a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process, transmit, and store Your Content solely to provide the Service to you — including transmitting relevant portions to business-grade AI providers that are contractually prohibited from training on Your Content. This license terminates when you delete Your Content or your account, subject to routine backup retention.

You represent and warrant that you own or hold all necessary rights to Your Content and that its upload and analysis do not infringe any third party's rights. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for maintaining your own backups.

5. How Analyses Are Generated

Analyses are produced using artificial-intelligence language models operated by trusted third-party providers on their business/enterprise API tiers, which are contractually committed not to train their models on Your Content. Unlike many consumer AI tools, which may use submitted content to train their models, the providers we use are barred from doing so. Outputs are generated by AI, may contain errors or omissions, and are provided for informational purposes only. You are responsible for independently verifying any output before relying on it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) upload content you do not own or have full rights to submit; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its outputs; (c) use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purpose; (d) share your account credentials or resell access; (e) attempt to access data, scripts, or accounts belonging to other users. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination.

7. Subscription & Billing

Certain features require a paid subscription. Pricing, usage limits, and billing terms will be presented at the time of purchase. ScriptKit reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

7a. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day free trial on all subscription plans. No payment is required during the trial period. You may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged. After the trial ends, subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at support@script-kit.com within 30 days of the charge for a review.

7b. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to the Service until then. No further charges will be made after the cancellation date. If you cancel during a free trial, no payment will be taken.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated analyses are for informational purposes only and are not professional production, legal, or financial advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScriptKit and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

ScriptKit may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
